The enclosed basin and wharves at the Port of Matane are accessible year-round for transhipping forest products, large wind turbine components, general cargo and dry bulk.

Located on the south shore of the St. Lawrence River, the terminal provides rapid access to the Maritime provinces and the northeastern United States via links with the Canadian National (CN) railway network and eastern Quebec's major highways.
