Iroquois Landing Terminal
Located at the mouth of the Calumet River, some 20 km (12.5 miles) from downtown Chicago, the Iroquois Landing Terminal, acquired in 2006, is equipped with new and state-of-the-art machinery – lift trucks, wheel loaders and mobile cranes. The terminal's dedicated and highly experienced personnel are able to handle all types of steel and bulk cargo: transhipment, unloading of barges and ocean-going vessels, storage and inventory management. The company also handles forest products, general cargo and special project cargo.
The outside storage space covers over 365,000 m² (90 acres or 3.9 million sq. ft.) and the two 10,200 m² (110,000 sq. ft.) warehouses each have loading docks. Some 405,000 m² (100 acres or 4.4 million sq. ft.) of additional storage space next to the terminal are also available. The terminal is linked to the railway network, and is located close to major highways, thereby facilitating transport by truck.
