With heavy lift handling capabilities and labour expertise, the Port of Baie-Comeau is well adapted to a variety of cargoes. The terminal is open year-round and benefits from a ro-ro ramp and a railcar ferry service to Matane via the Canadian National (CN) railway system. Imports are predominately destined to the mining industry and the region's manufactured goods take advantage of the port's strategic location for exports.
